This video walks through using a PPC product launch calculator to estimate costs and plan your Amazon advertising campaigns effectively. When you've done your keyword research and chosen the right keywords to rank for in a product launch or relaunch, this calculator helps you extract information from Helium 10 like search volume and suggested bids. You can also find Amazon maximum suggested bid from the campaign manager when creating new campaigns by copying your desired keywords and selecting exact match to get current minimum and maximum suggested bids directly from Amazon. The calculator allows you to choose between Amazon suggested bid with 50% increase or Helium 10 maximum suggested bid depending on how aggressive you want to be in your product launch. For relaunches, you already have average conversion rates, but for new products you can use Product Opportunity Explorer to find this data. The video demonstrates calculating cost per acquisition (CPA) and cost per sale to determine daily costs for each keyword you want to rank for. Using example data, the calculation shows at least $180 daily cost for getting into top 16 positions with Helium 10 numbers. You can also use Data Rova for top three positions which provides accurate daily sales to rank numbers, though Data Rova numbers are usually two or three times higher than Helium 10 suggestions because they target top three positions specifically. This calculator helps you estimate if ranking campaigns will be too expensive before you start, with some keywords requiring up to $2,000 per day just to rank in top five positions. This information can influence your decision on how aggressive to be throughout your product launch campaign.

Hi guys and welcome to another video. Yesterday I covered what's the Helium 10 CPR number and how to use it. But today I'm just going to like to cover this PPC product launch calculator that I shared in the past. So maybe some of you can also use it to your benefit. So what it actually does is that it gives you an information on when you did your research, keyword research and have chosen the right keywords that you want to rank for either in a product launch or or maybe a relaunch. Then you extract the information from Helium 10 like like search volume and suggested bids. You can also find out the Amazon maxim maximum suggested bid from the campaign manager. When you in the process of creating new campaign, just copy your desired keywords and select the exact match when you want to add them to the campaign and you will get directly from Amazon what's the current minimum suggested bid and maximum suggested bid and you can input that over here and then using this simple calculator that I'm going to launch in uh sorry that I'm going to share in the first comment you can select the one that you want to use like if you want to go with the Amazon suggested bid or Amazon suggested bid uh with the 50% increase or maybe helium 10 maximum suggested bid depending on how aggressive you want to be in your product launch. So when if it's a relaunch you already have your average conversion rates for this. If not you can do that through product opportunity explorer which I'll probably cover up cover tomorrow. [snorts] But for the simplicity for today's video, let's say that you already know conversion rates is let's say 10. And and I like to add eight or nine. So a few points below that and uh above that just for the sake of being safe about the actual CPA that you want to see. CPA is cost per acquisition, cost per sale. Um, so once we have the cost per sale and we have from the helium 10 or data roa how many sales we need per day, we can calculate the cost for each keyword that you want to rank for. So when you combine all of these, you will see that that's going to be $180 at least for uh getting top 16 positions with helium 10 numbers. And for example, you can use data roa for top three positions. And you have these number daily sales to rank, which are pretty accurate for top three positions. And you will see that for data roa numbers, they're going to be usually two or three times higher than what helium tennis is suggesting simply because data row is give you giving you top three positions. So by knowing all of this, you can estimate is it going to be too expensive for you or not to go in. And please note this is just an example data. So I've seen uh examples where we calculated that for a single keyword we would have to go with $2,000 per day just to to rank in top five positions. And you know it it can generally it can influence your decision on how aggressive you want to be throughout the product launch. So uh the product launch calculators is in the first comment and let me know if you have any questions about it. Bye-bye, guys.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get Amazon's current suggested bid range for specific keywords before launching a campaign?

When creating a new campaign in Campaign Manager, add your target keywords and select exact match before saving. Amazon will display the current minimum and maximum suggested bid for each keyword based on live auction data. This is the most up-to-date bid reference available because it reflects current competitive bidding rather than historical averages from third-party tools. For a product launch budget calculation, you can use this Amazon-sourced maximum suggested bid directly as the CPC input, or apply a 50% buffer on top of it if you expect the category to be competitive and want to plan conservatively. Entering the actual CPC input, the daily sales target from Helium 10 CPR or DataRova, and your expected conversion rate into a cost-per-acquisition calculator then gives you the estimated daily budget required per keyword before a single euro of ad spend is committed.
